Ron and Chris Converse first opened the doors of Converse Carpet in 1984 in Central Point, Oregon. Chris ran the sales end of the business while Ron handled the inventory and installations. Converse originally offered a variety of carpet and vinyl flooring options out of a tiny building on East Pine Street but has since moved to the current location on Front Street.

Over the years the business has grown and has provided flooring and services to many individuals and local organizations here in Southern Oregon. In 2019 Ron and Chris passed the torch on down to their son, Ryan Converse. Converse Flooring & Design provides services in interior remodel design and sales. We are dedicated to supporting the community we live in by providing local resources to builders, contractors, restoration companies and private individuals.

Our business handles new construction, remodels, damage from the elements, house flips, and more. We specialize in taking an existing home layout and turning it into something that suits the client's needs.

Those years of service have resulted in a staff of knowledgeable sales associates and highly skilled in-house installers.
We encourage folks to pick our brains and ask the questions necessary to educate themselves on the product that best fits their needs and falls within their budget.

Vinyl Sheet
Report
Are you hoping to inexpensively capture the look and feel of natural surfaces with your new flooring?
Vinyl Sheet has, by far, the most options available as far as look, color, pattern, and texture.
You can find prints such as traditional hardwood, exotic wood species, distressed or weathered wood, limestone, sandstone, tile, slate, geometric patterns, and much more.
Vinyl sheet flooring can be used in any area of the house and is especially useful in areas where water or moisture is a concern.
Carpet
Report
Are you looking to add that extra level of comfort and homey appeal to a room in your house?
Then carpet is the clear choice for you.
Imagine waking up in the morning, sitting up in bed, swinging your legs off to the side and planting your feet onto a thick, warm, fuzzy carpet flooring rather than cold, hard tile or any other variety of flooring.
Still not sold on the idea of carpet?
Comfort isn't the only advantage!
With a variety of styles, colors, patterns, weights, and construction, the multitude of carpet options can often be overwhelming and difficult to navigate, but don't worry; our flooring sales team can help guide you to the carpeting choice that will best fit your needs as well as your budget by asking you some simple questions.
Hard Wood
Report
Hardwood is the pinnacle of durable, long-lasting, and aesthetically pleasing flooring options.
Unlike imitation wood, such as vinyl or laminate, every single board is unique; you won't see any repeat in pattern.
While hardwood has a higher initial cost over vinyl or laminate, in the long term it is the more economical option.
If properly maintained, hardwood floors can survive over multiple decades.
Thinking about remodeling a room that has hardwood?
You don't have to replace all of your flooring!
Laminate
Report
If you are searching to get the best bang for your buck in terms of durability and hardwood look then laminate is definitely the choice for your home or business.
With an incredibly resilient top wear layer, Laminate flooring can hold up to high traffic, scratches, and dents.
As for the look; it is available in a wide variety of convincing hardwood prints in multiple colors that will add that level of class and comfort to any room.
