Alka Flooring, LLC is a locally-owned and operated Minnesota-based full service flooring company. Alex Kanevsky, the founder, creative and motivating force behind ALKA Flooring, LLC studies woodcarving for 35 years ago. He used this knowledge to move into cabinet making and whole-house remodeling, but for the past 20 years, Alex has focused solely on his floor covering business.
Alex combines studied art and engineering in his native Moscow, Russia and uses all of his experience to provide a great balance between state-of-the-art style in combination with the latest in floor covering solutions. With new floor covering products and technologies changing constantly, Alex spends a great deal of time and effort working with clients to select the best product based on esthetics, time and budget.
Alex makes it a priority to ensure he stays on top of all changes in the floor covering industry, so clients know that the product they choose is the best for their home or commercial project.

Alex and his team installed luxury vinyl tile in our kitchen, bathroom, entry way, pantry closet and back stairs/landing.
We also required repair to our hardwood floors, so they could be refinished in the dining room, living room, stairway, upper hall and four bedrooms.
It went we well.
Alex had a lot of good suggestions (what we ended up doing isn't what we originally planned to do because of his suggestion - greatly appreciated!).
It did take a while for the entire process to get done but we also did a lot of work and it took us a while to make some decisions.
