Pel Hughes Companies founded Floor de Lis in late 2005.
When Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and the surrounding areas, the Hughes family wanted to be a part of the recovery of the city and create a positive influence on the area.
Floor de Lis was first opened using the Pel Hughes Companies' warehouse in the heart of Mid-City.
It has since moved to 3032 17th Street Metairie in New Orleans.
