Services
In 1952, W.B. Humphreys purchased a branch of Stokes, renaming the business Carpet & Draperies.
Mr. Humphreys, a WW2 veteran, was a hard worker who knew how to treat people!
By the 1970's, business was flourishing.
Mr. Humphreys built a name for the business based on new products, exceptional customer service, and top class flooring installations.
In 2018, Mickey's son, Drew, purchased the business, renaming Pay-Less Carpets to Sun Flooring.
Though the name has changed multiple times, each generation of this family business makes sure that customers are treated with respect, stores are filled with innovative products, and installations are best in class.
Sun Flooring takes pride in having the best tile, hardwood, LVT, and carpet installers in Mobile and Baldwin County.
How did Sun Flooring develop the reputation for having Mobile and Baldwin county's best flooring installers?
As the years progress, demand for trades like flooring installation increases, but the amount of talented installers can't catch up to the demand.
The best installers continue to get older, while talented, young installers are few and far between!
It's become obvious that businesses like Sun Flooring absolutely have to invest in good talent.
Our Mobile store is located right off Government Blvd, about a half mile east of I-65.
If you're looking for tile, carpet, hardwood, or luxury vinyl in Mobile, Sun Flooring would be happy to assist you.
Sun Flooring's Mobile location handles flooring projects in Mobile (duh), Dauphin Island, Theodore, Saraland, and other cities in Mobile County.
Sun Flooring's Daphne location commonly handles flooring projects in Fairhope, Spanish Fort, Gulf Shores, Foley, Orange Beach, and other towns in Baldwin County.
Sun Flooring carries a host of floor/porcelain tile and wall/ceramic tile.
Whether you're looking for subway tile, wood look tile, travertine look tile, or marble look tile, we'll have options for you.
After a decade of incredible technological improvements in tile printing, your design options are virtually limitless with tile flooring.
In addition to new prints, factories are now able to create a variety of sizes, allowing for the installation of unique patterns.
Most tiles have multiple sizes available, so you have added flexibility for patterns and personalization.
As the years progress, we're starting to see customers ask for two main categories of wood: solid and engineered.
We carry both and our sales persons will be able to help you choose the best one for your project.
For example, if you want a wide plank hardwood floor made of European White Oak, our team will be able to point you in the direction of an engineered wood floor.
Or, maybe you want a hardwood with a smaller width, like one that would be found in craftsman homes made in the early 20th century.
