From an era THAT IS GONE FOREVER. ALMOST. It's a real enjoyment for our team here at Vintage Flooring & Furniture to harvest antique wood from old buildings throughout America. We truly believe we are helping our environment and at the same time making sure at least something wonderful remains as a reminder of the passing years. A time when men with a mind and will to work with their hands, ropes and mules would put in a 10 hour day and gratefully received a just days pay of $3.00.

Men with character as strong as the buildings they were building. Every nail hole in our antique lumber is a testimony to that. Some of the nails our men pull are nine inches long, and they were driven into wood with growth rings so tight you can't count them, and remember there were no nail guns a hundred years ago! Our business is about as re-cycling as you can get.

Every year thousands upon thousands of trees are cut from our forests, trees that took years to grow and provide the oxygen we breathe. Every time we turn out a floor or gorgeous piece of furniture, we know that many trees were spared.

We dismantled our first barn many years ago on the banks of the Hatchie River in North Mississippi, just a mile south of the Tennessee line in a small community called Jesus Name.
The month was July and the temperature hovered around the 100 degree mark.
The men were dirty as junk yard dogs.
Our crew leader decided he wood walk out on a Cypress log that had fallen across the river, kneel down and splash some of the cool water in his face.
Well, I watched expectantly as I knew he was about to take a bath.
When the son rises over the Double P.
I gaze quietly, in awe at the way my Creator greets me each day and a silent voice speaks gently in my mind.
You do well my child to face me each day.
For I Am as a light that shines in a dark place, and your day will dawn and I will be the Day Star that rises in your heart.
Through the years we have been involved in reclaiming hand hewn beams from older structures built prior to the 20th Century.
We here at VINTAGE FLOORING & FURNITURE try to maintain a good supply of these beams.
Currently, our inventory includes some Hand Hewn Beams about 200 years old.
They make gorgeous additions to any structure and make beautiful mantels that are truly a conversation piece.
Most of these structures were log cabins built by pioneering settlers that had an unshaken will to make it in an untamed land.
Look closer at our products.
We want you to see a quality that is very rare in manufacturing today.
We are from the old school in building our products.
Back when business was motivated by a spirit to give the customer more that they bargain for.
Of course you can't stay in business without a profit, we know that.
But our belief is focus on quality for the customer and the profits will follow.
We build our furniture with your Great Great Grandchildren in mind.
Using our special bolt system and mortise and tenon joinery this furniture is guaranteed to stand up under normal use as long as you own it.
For 10 years, we have been producing beautiful wide plank flooring using lumber we have reclaimed from buildings we have taken down.
It's always a challenge to explain the joy I receive from seeing the hard work our men do come to fruition.
Throughout the total process of creating a one of a kind floor, a labor of love goes into each board because each board is part of something special from our past.
Once in Arizona, I watched as children lay playing monopoly on a floor we had manufactured from Ammunition Storage Warehouses we dismantled at the Gulf Ordinance Plant in Prairie, Mississippi.
